About Our Centre

An indoor martial arts gym with a tatami mat area, benches, and shelving. The walls are decorated with 'Groundworks MMA Centre' and 'Zebra' logos.

Groundworks MMA Centre is a family-friendly martial arts gym based in Barrack Heights NSW, proudly serving the Illawarra community.

Led by Head Coach Craig Sinclair, with over 30 years Martial Arts experience and one of the Illawarra’s first Brazilian Jiu Jitsu black belts; our gym specialises in BJJ, Kickboxing and MMA.

We have 16 BJJ black belts training and coaching out of our gym. We have a number of experienced MMA and kickboxing coaches - including former Australian Kickboxing Champion Blake Devine. We are a strong community of committed students who train, grow and support one another.

We are proudly affiliated with Will Machado BJJ Australasia and offer both Gi and No-Gi classes, blending modern training methods with traditional martial arts values.
